Cross River Puffer Tetraodon pustulatus

The Cross River Puffer/Pufferfish, sometimes called the Redline Puffer, is endemic only to the Cross River basin in southwestern Nigeria. It grows to some 36cm long and has attractive, dark-bordered, bright red spots along its flank.

They prey on crustaceans, molluscs and aquatic insects. It is endangered through its very limited range and habitat polluction and degradation.
