Kelberi Peacock Bass Cichla kelberi

The Kelberi Peacock Bass is also called the Golden Peacock Bass in aquaculture where the yellow hues are often accentuated by breeding. It is native to the river systems of southeastern Brazil.

Like other piscivorous peacock bass in other river systems, it is a robust and aggressive fish. It has three dark bars on its body, a bordered eyespot on the tail and reaches 60cm long.
