Mormyrops zanclirostris Mormyrops (prev. Oxymormyrus) zanclirostris

Mormyrops zanclirostris is a mormyrid (elephant fish with a weak electric field for navigation, communication and hunting nocturnal prey). It has an elongated body and can grow to 27cm long. It is native to quiet waters of the Congo Basin, swimming near the substrate.
