The Neon Blue Tiny Danio is endemic to forest streams and ponds of Bintan Island, east of Sumatra. Indonesia's answer to the Cardinal and Green Neon Tetras of South America, it is actually blue with red but through the tannin-stained waters of its habitat it looks green. It is only 2cm long. The population is assessed as vulnerable.
