Green Terror Cichlid Andinoacara rivulatus

The Green Terror Cichlid is more blue than green with a fiery orange edging to the fins. The "terror" is well-named, since it is aggressive, territorial and will eat any fish that will fit in its mouth.

It is native to rivers of Ecuador and Peru on the Pacific side of South America.

Adult males (above) reach a length of some 30cm (12 inches) and females less than half that.
