Pearlscale Cichlid Herichthys carpintis

The Pearlscale Cichlid is native to northeastern Mexico. Sometimes called the Lowland Cichlid, it is closely related to the similar-looking Texas or Rio Grande Cichlid, H. cyanoguttatus, of northeastern Mexico and southern Texas, but grows to only half the size at some 17cm.
