Haplochromis riponianus Cichlid Haplochromis riponianus

Haplochromis riponianus is a cichlid native to Lake Victoria in East Africa. It may also be present in the adjacent area of the Nile. It is a blue-grey colour, often with black eye stripes, shadow body stripes and/or bright red highlights on rear fins. It grows to some 10cm (4 inches) long. Females are mouthbrooders, like many East African cichlids.
