The Tucan Fish, also called the Yellow-finned Chalceus, has a red tail and has yellow pectoral, pelvic
and sometimes anal fins. It is native to floodplain rivers and lakes in parts of Amazonian Peru and Brazil. It grows to 20cm long.
The Pink-tailed Chalceus is a similar, colourful, large-scaled fish with a red tail but has red pectoral and pelvic fins.
It is prevalent through northern South America in the Orinoco and Rio Negro basins and grows to 25cm long.
