The Featherfin Squeaker, also called Featherfin Syno, is native to the White Nile basin and to basins
of West Africa including the Niger, Volta and Chad. It can grow to 30cm long.
Synodontis catfishes of Africa are known as squeakers after the noise they make by rubbing spines
on pectoral fins into shoulder grooves as a warning to predators or rivals.
