The Tete Sea Catfish, also called the Colombian Shark Catfish, is a shark-shaped, sea-going, predatory catfish
native to Pacific-draining rivers and estuaries in Central and South America.
Shark-shaped with catfish whiskers, it has white-edged fins and a venomous dorsal spine. It can grow to 50-60cm long.
Young are spawned in fresh water but graduate to brakish estuaries as juveniles and to marine coastal water as adults.
They eat smaller fish.
