The Rhino Catfish, named for its armoured body and "horns" although it looks more like a dragon than a rhino,
is native to the Maranon and Ucayali river basins of Peru, South America.
Looking more reptilian than fish, it is one of the armoured "plecos", (Plecostomus shape not genus) and is
also called Rhino Pleco. The two "ears" or "horns" on its face are protecting the nostrils.
Peaceful omnivores, they are suckerfish that graze on wood and plants using their rasping mouthparts.
