The Red Lizard Catfish, also called the Red Lizard Whiptail, is a name given to more than one similar-looking
long, thin, reddish brown, twiglike catfish in genus Rineloricaria.
They grow to some 15cm long and are native to streams of South American river basins.
The male tends the fertilised eggs (cleans, fans and guards them) until they hatch.
Might be Rineloricaria lanceolata, the Chocolate Whiptail Catfish.
