Uganda Thick-lipped Barb Labeobarbus (prev. Barbus) acuticeps

The Uganda Thick-lipped Barb, also called Matthes' Barb, is native to rivers, lakes and marshes of East Africa - not only Uganda but also Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and possibly Kenya. As its scientific name indicates, it has a conical head. A large barb, it can grow to 40cm long. It is threatened by loss of habitat.
