The Redfin Headstander, also called Redfin Anostomus and Striped Headstander (the latter confusing since most headstanders
are striped) is native to the Orinoco Basin and Venezuelan Amazon.
With Keyhole Cichlids.
The Headstander name is from the fish's habit of eating algae from rocks in fast currents while "standing" upsidedown.
It also acts as a cleaner fish, eating parasites and dead cells from other fish. It is distinguished from Ternetz Anostomus mainly by its red fins.
It grows to some 16-20cm long.
