Freckled-faced Surgeonfish Acanthurus maculiceps

The Freckled-faced Surgeonfish, also called White-freckled (and Yellow-freckled) Surgeonfish, is native to the Indian Ocean through to the western Pacific. The freckles are not always white.

The fish can grow to 40cm long and diet is mainly algae and detritus. Juveniles are white until some 20cm long.
