Blue-striped Grunt Haemulon sciurus

The Blue-striped Grunt is native to the western Atlantic from the USA to the Caribbean. It has a pale blue/white lateral stripes on yellow, a dark bar on the tail and grows typically to 25-30cm long (but exceptionally can reach 45cm). Grunts are named after a grunting sound they make when distressed.
