The Sharpsnout Bream, also Sharpsnout Seabream, is native to the eastern Atlantic from Spain to West Africa including the Mediterranean
and Black Seas and the Cape Verde and Canary Islands.
It's a gregarious species, associating with tis own kind, other breams and other fish. It grows to 50-60cm.

It has a striped body and a black spot before the tail. Above centre: the sharp teeth.
Diet includes seaweed, molluscs and crustaceans.
