The Brown Pansy, J. hedonia, is native to Southeast Asia and northern Australia (these shown
in Singapore). It is sometimes called Chocolate Pansy/Soldier, particularly browner versions, leading to confusion with the
Chocolate Pansy J. iphita of South and Southeast Asia (including Malaysia). The latter doesn't have the red spots
of the former. Moreover, several other Pansy's are also called Brown, including the Natal J. natalica and Aurivillius'
Brown Pansy J. stygia, both of Africa.
