The Inca Tern is a sooty dark-grey tern with black wing-tips, red bill, red feet and a bizarre white moustache (with yellow smile).
As its name indicates, the Inca Tern is native to Peruvian and Chilean coasts.
Both male and female adults have the moustache. Threats include largescale fishing of its
preferred prey - Peruvian anchovies - by humans and climate change.
