Black (Lesser Vasa) Parrot Coracopsis nigra

The Black Parrot, also called the Lesser Vasa Parrot, has mainly a very dark brown, almost black, plumage, darker than the (Greater) Vasa Parrot and with a smaller beak. They are native to Madagascar and the Seychelles.

Male and female have similar plumage; juveniles are browner.
