Thick-billed Parrot Rhyncopsitta pachyrhyncha

The Thick-billed Parrot from Mexico has a red brow extending to thick red eyebrows, red "shoulders" and red thighs. It also has a broad yellow band under each wing. Endangered, it is not as rare as its larger relative, the Maroon-fronted Parrot.

This Thick-billed Parrot continuously waved the pine frond back and forth like a cheerleader (easier to see on the video than on the stills here).
