The White-eared Conure,
Pyrrhura leucotis, also called the
Maroon-faced Parakeet, is native to Brazil. Some former subspecies have been reclassified as full species in recent years.
The Painted Conure, Pyrrhura picta, with its blue brow,
is native to northern South America. There are several subspecies. Some former subspecies have been reclassified as full species in recent years.
Above is the Grey-breasted Conure/Parakeet, Pyrrhura griseipectus,
formerly classed as a subspecies of the White-eared, as Pyrrhura leucotis griseipectus.
The Grey-breasted Conure is native to a small, declining range in north-eastern Brazil.
The top of the head is also grey and the nape is blue. The belly and tail are burgundy red.
