Fiery-shouldered Conure Pyrrhura egregia

The Fiery-shouldered Conure is native to a limited and threatened range in southern Guyana, southern Venezuela and north-eastern Brazil.

Male and female have similar plumage, the male often more coloured; juveniles do not have the "fire" on the wing edge.

The extent of orange "fire" on the wing edge ("shoulder") varies considerably - can be much more or much less than shown here and continues under the wing.
