The African Grey Parrot, also called the Congo African Grey (CAG - nominal subspecies) and just the Grey Parrot, comes,
as you would expect from central Africa.
The African Grey compensates for limited colour by being the most accomplished avian talker.
It is highly intelligent for a parrot and has the highest ability to mimic and understand speech.
Male and female have similar plumage, grey with a bright red tail.
"As I was measuring up new furniture . . .
. . . I found a hole. I'm looking into it."
"It sounds like woodworm to me."
What's grey and has a trunk?
