(Eurasian) Spoonbill Platalea leucorodia

The (Eurasian/Common) Spoonbill is a rare breeding bird in the UK but is a common water-bird across parts of Europe, North Africa and Asia.

It's black bill has a more extensive yellow tip in the breeding season. Breeding adults also develop a crest and sometimes a yellowish breast patch.
