Salvadori's Pheasant is native to the Indonesian island of Sumatra but its survival is vulnerable through hunting.
The male is similar to the Edwards'/Vietnamese pheasant with iridescent midnight blue but muted scallops
on his wings and red skin around the eyes, but he has grey, not red, legs.
The female Salvadori's Pheasant is more ornate than the Edwards'/Vietnamese hen (despite the Latin name
"inornata" - applying to the male).
