The Black-winged Myna or Starling, also called the White-breasted Starling, is native to Indonesia.
There are three subspecies. Male and female have similar black and white plumage and yellow, bald eye-patches.
Juveniles have a grey mantle or back, as do adults of two of the subspecies.
Like many southeast Asian songbirds, it's population suffers from capture for bird markets and singing competitions.
