The male Italian Sparrow is similar to the Spanish Sparrow but without (or with much less) streaking on its body.
Its body is more similar to the House Sparrow, but the chestnut head without grey crown, the white eyebrow and the facial markings are
like the Spanish Sparrow. Some authorities do not recognise it as a separate species but as a stable hybrid of the House and Spanish Sparrows
that overlap part of its range of northern/central Italy and part of France/Switzerland/Austria.
Drinking from a tap - they have adapted to living alongside humans like their House and Spanish cousins.

The female Italian Sparrow is also an intermediate between the House and Spanish Sparrows with a strong "supercilium" and
stronger marking on the wings than the House Sparrow.
