Diamond Firetail Stagonopleura guttata

The Diamond Firetail owes its names to the "diamonds" or white spots on black on its flanks and its scarlet rump and (black-tipped) tail.

A small finch, it is native to eastern Australia. Male and female have similar plumage.

Juveniles have orange rumps and tails.
