Pompadour Cotinga Xipholena punicea

The Pompadour Cotinga is native to the northern part of South America.

The male is a showy, deep pink and red with white wing edges and black wingtips.

Like most cotingas, the female, who has the task of incubating and raising young, is plain and camouflaged.
