Blue-tailed Bee-eater Merops philippinus

I am indebted to Dr Harsha Vardhan Reddy for use of his superb photos of the Blue-tailed Bee-eater in India. As its Latin name indicates, it breeds in Southeast Asia but it migrates to India seasonally. It was previously considered a subspecies of the Blue-cheeked Bee-eater (link below).
