White Doves kept domestically (shown below), for example those in dovecots, are usually basically all-white feral Pigeons (shown above).
Wild Collared Doves (above) can be completely white and without the collar. White Doves used in stage shows are often domestic versions
of white Collared/Barbary Doves which are easier to tame and less aggressive. However White Doves used for releases (eg at weddings/events)
are homing Pigeons since Collared/Barbary Doves lack the homing instincts of the Pigeons.
White (and coloured) Pigeons are also the basis for many captive fancy breeds, such as the white frizzy-plumaged (Frillback) and lion (Jacobean) types above.
