(Common) Buzzard Buteo buteo

The (Common) Buzzard of Eurasia is a medium-large bird of prey with a wingspan of over a metre up to a metre and a half. Its plumage varies from medium to dark brown with white patches.

The white patches vary from mottling (above left) to a white band across the chest/belly (above right) to an all-white front, but usually include white under the outer wing (see flight pictures below)
