The (Common) Buzzard of Eurasia is a medium-large bird of prey with a wingspan of over a metre up to a metre and a half.
Its plumage varies from medium to dark brown with white patches.
The white patches vary from mottling (above left) to a white band across the chest/belly (above right) to an all-white front,
but usually include white under the outer wing (see flight pictures below)
Soaring and spotting prey (small rodents, lizards, carrion) from high up
Swooping to the ground to take prey
Crows chasing Buzzard off territory
