The Corn Bunting is a small bird but large for a bunting. It is prevalent through much of southern and eastern Europe,
the Canary Islands, North Africa and through to Central Asia.
Male and female have similar plumage but the male is larger and a little less streaky. They are usually resident (non-migratory).
The male Corn Bunting will sing from a high perch to declare his territory and is often polygamous.
