The Giant Banded Flat Rock Scorpion is native to rocky areas of southern Africa. Its flattened body, like other Flat Rock Scorpions, allows it to hide in rock crevices while its pincers allow it to extract prey from crevices. Prey is mainly crickets and other insects. It can grow to 8 inches (20cm) long.
