The Misty Ground-weaver sheet-web spider is usually found under stones and in cool outhouses/cellars.
It grows to 3.5-4.5mm (male)- 6.5mm (female) long.
In the UK it is widespread and about all year. It is also native across Eurasia (Europe to Japan) and in North America.
It makes sheet webs.
It looks similar to Megalepthyphantes collinus of continental Europe and to a recent colonist in the UK,
M. sp. near collinus.
