Mouse Spider
The Mouse Spider is a thickset, robust spider which takes its name from the grey hairs covering its abdomen. It is 9-12mm long (head/body) and found throughout the UK mainly in buildings, especially outhouses. It is mainly nocturnal and runs fast. It doesn't build webs but stalks and ambushes invertebrate prey.
