The Snake-backed Spider, also called the Leopard Spider, both names because of its spotted appearance, is found outside throughout the UK. It is a tube-dwelling spider (no, not the underground railway but holes in walls or tubular webs). Its head and body length is up to 10mm (females) or 7mm (males).
