Latreilles Zipper is a fast-running ground spider that chases prey rather than using a web, like others in the
Zelotes genus. It is native to much of the UK (more prevalent in the south) and to much of Europe and is about most of the year
(mainly spring-autumn). It is shiny black with a pear-shaped head/thorax. Females grow to 6-9mm and males 4.5-8mm.
