Slender-snouted Crocodile Mecistops cataphractus (prev. Crocodylus cataphractus)

The Slender-snouted Crocodile, also called the African Slender-snouted Crocodile, is native to West and Central Africa.

A medium-sized crocodile in its own genus, it is critically endangered through hunting for their skin and for bushmeat, overfishing (diet is mainly fish) and through habitat loss and disturbance.
