The Dwarf Caiman, also called Cuvier's Dwarf Caiman, is native to northern South America.
(Confusingly, it is also sometimes called the Smooth-fronted Caiman, a name usually given to Schneider's Dwarf Caiman.)
The smallest of crocodilians, it still can grow to nearly a meter and a half (some 4 and a half feet).
Juveniles are browner and eat mainly invertebrates. Adults are darker and eat invertebrates
and fish.
