The Mangshan Pit Viper, also called Mang Mountain Pitviper and Iron-head Snake, is a nocturnal pit viper
native to mountainous regions of southern Hunan and northern Guangdong provinces of China.
It was discovered by science only in the late 1980s.
It has a small white tail tip that it wiggles like a grub to attract prey (birds, frogs, insects, rodents).
The eyes are green with a vertical pupil. It can grow to 2.2 metres long. Its venom can kill humans.
