The Inland Taipan, also called Western Taipan, is the world's most venomous snake. It is native to arid inland
areas of eastern Australia.
A shiny brownish, shy and unassuming snake, it is not aggressive and prefers to flee but one bite of its venom
kill an adult human in under an hour and it is said that tests show that one bite's worth of venom could kill 100 men.
Prey is warm-blooded, usually rodents and small mammals. Their scales are lighter in summer and
darker in winter for temperature regulation.
