Woma Python Aspidites ramsayi

The Woma Python is native to desert areas of central and southwestern Australia. Colour varies from light brown to very dark brown and the snake typically reaches nearly 5 feet (over 1.5 metres) in length but the maximum known is said to be over 8 feet (2.5 metres). It has a narrow head for a snake of its size.

It is mainly nocturnal. Prey is mainly lizards but can include small mammals. The snake is endangered mainly through loss of habitat.
