The Woma Python is native to desert areas of central and southwestern Australia. Colour varies from light brown to very dark brown
and the snake typically reaches nearly 5 feet (over 1.5 metres) in length but the maximum known is said to be over 8 feet (2.5 metres).
It has a narrow head for a snake of its size.
It is mainly nocturnal. Prey is mainly lizards but can include small mammals.
The snake is endangered mainly through loss of habitat.
