The Northern White-lipped Python, also called D'Albertis' or D'Albert's Water Python, is native to northern New Guinea. Females can reach some 2 metres (6-7 feet) long - just over half a metre (2 feet) shorter than their southern counterpart the Southern White-lipped Python.
