The Chihuahuan Mountain Kingsnake, also known as Madrean and Knobloch's Mountain Kingsnake, is native to mountains of the
Sonoran desert region of Mexico and into Arizona, USA. It looks similar to its neighbour, the Sonoran Mountain Kingsnake, also called Arizona Kingsnake,
(L. pyromelana), of mountains of southwestern United States, of which it is sometimes classed as a subspecies.
They are diurnal, non-venomous and can grow to 4 feet (over a metre) long.
