The Solomon Islands Ground Boa, also called Paulson's Bevel-nosed Boa, has several subspecies of which the nominal
is native to the Solomon Islands and others to other south Pacific islands of Papua New Guinea and Indonesia. It used to be classed as a
subspecies of the Pacific Ground Boa, C. carinata. Although called a ground boa it is both terrestrial and arboreal and is well-camouflaged
on tree bark; it is mainly nocturnal. It can reach 1 to 1.5 metres long.
