The Cuban Boa is native only to Cuba and a few small adjacent islands.
It is the Caribbean's largest boa with females typically over 3 metres long and exceptionally over 5 metres (16 feet).
Their main diet is bats and they have been observed in cooperative hunting by
coordinating the blocking of cave entrances to catch bats leaving and returning (University of Tennessee, May 2017).
Also called the Cuban Tree Boa, they also eat other mammals and birds.
