Puff Adder Bitis arietans

The Puff Adder, also called Common Puff Adder, is one of the commonest snakes in Africa, prevalent in savannah grasslands in most of sub-saharan Africa and parts of North Africa and Arabia.

It puffs itself up to increase its size when threatened and has a dangerous, venomous bite.
