Brongersma's Toad Barbarophryne (prev. Bufotes/Bufo) brongersmai

Brongersma's Toad, also called Tiznit and the Moroccan Green Toad, is native to Algeria, Morocco and Western Sahara. It was given its own genus in 2013, the only species in its new genus. It is small for a toad - 2 inches (5cm) head/body length and lives in arid shrubland with ponds, streams or marshy areas. Like many marshland and pond species, it is threatened by habitat loss.
